Why Businesses Need an AI Category Agent

  • Quick Catalog Structure Building: AI suggests an action plan based on text.
  • Fewer Manual Errors: a clear list of changes before application.
  • Controlled Category Transfer: works only in selected source/target branches.
  • Team Time Savings: less manual category tree editing.

What's on the "Integrations / AI Category Agent" Page

  1. Text field for analysis.
  2. Selection of source root and target root branches.
  3. AI model field and prompt template.
  4. Buttons for analysis, bulk selection, and action application.
  5. Import of a ready JSON plan (without new AI analysis).
  6. Plan table with the status of each step.

Buttons and Their Functions

  • "Analyze" - initiates AI text analysis and forms a category action plan.
  • "Apply Selected" - executes only the selected plan rows in the system.
  • "Select All" - marks all available rows for application.
  • "Deselect All" - removes all marks in the plan.
  • "Load Plan from JSON" - imports a ready plan without re-querying AI.
  • "Back to Integrations" - returns to the general module list.

Step-by-Step Workflow

Step 1. Prepare Text for Analysis

Insert the description of the structure, category list, or feed fragment into the "Text for Analysis" field.

Step 2. Choose Agent Work Boundaries

  • In the source root block, select branches where the agent can take child categories from.
  • In the target root block, select branches where the agent can create/transfer categories to.

This is the main safeguard: the agent only works in the allowed areas of the tree.

Step 3. Specify Model and Prompt

  • "AI Model" field - model for analysis.
  • "Prompt Text (Template)" field - instruction for the agent.

Step 4. Start Analysis

Click "Analyze" and wait for the plan table to appear.

In the table, you will see:

  • Action - what the system proposes to do.
  • What - source category/branch.
  • Where - target branch.
  • Status - whether the action is ready for application.
  • Note - explanation for a specific row.

Step 5. Review and Select Actions

  • Mark only the rows that need to be executed.
  • For quick work, use "Select All" or "Deselect All".

Step 6. Apply Changes

Click "Apply Selected".

The status will show a summary: how many actions were applied, skipped, or completed with an error.

Step 7. Working with JSON Plan (if needed)

If you already have a prepared plan:

  • Insert the JSON into the "Insert JSON Plan (without AI)" field.
  • Click "Load Plan from JSON".
  • Review the rows and apply selected actions.
Tip: before mass application, run the scenario on a small branch to ensure that the transfer rules match your catalog structure.

What It Brings to Business

  • Faster review and update of catalog structure.
  • Better change management through a transparent action plan.
  • Reduced risk of erroneous transfers outside the required branches.
  • Scalable process for large catalogs.
