Step-by-Step Workflow
Step 1. Upload 2 Files
- In the "Old Feed" field, select the previous version.
- In the "New Feed" field, select the current version.
- Click "Upload".
Step 2. Check Keys
In the "Old Key" and "New Key" fields, select the column by which products are matched (e.g., SKU, article, or ID).
Step 3. Set Column Mapping
- Click "Auto-Mapping" to let the system match correspondences.
- Check the mapping manually and correct discrepancies if needed.
Step 4. Start Comparison
Click "Compare".
After processing, summary counters will appear:
- Old - number of positions in the old file.
- New - number of positions in the new file.
- Disappeared - were previously present but missing in the new.
- Appeared - new positions that were not there before.
- Changed - positions where field values changed.
- Unchanged - products without differences.
Step 5. Analyze 3 Result Tables
- Disappeared - check if it's a planned removal or an error.
- Appeared - review new positions before publication.
- Changed - see which fields were changed (price, name, other attributes).
Step 6. Export Report
- "Export Report" - if a full picture is needed.
- "Export Only Changed" - if you need to quickly pass the list of edits to the team.
Tip: always check that both files have the same key logic (SKU/ID/article), otherwise some changes may appear as "disappeared" or "appeared" due to incorrect matching.
Daily Use in the Team
- Before updating the feed, run a comparison of the old and new version.
- Export the report and pass it to those responsible for content/prices.
- After corrections, re-compare the file before final publication.
What This Brings to Business
- Fewer critical errors in public feeds.
- Better management of assortment changes.
- Transparent quality control before launching advertising and sales.
- Faster team communication based on a specific report.
